Peter Graduated College
For those of you who don't know Peter graduated from college in mid-December with a bachelors in Computer Science with an emphasis in Computer Engineering. We are so proud of him. When he finally finished school we thought that we would have more time with him but that just doesn't seem to be the case. He is still working two jobs and this week he is going to two job fairs (which is great) then his work is sending him to some work thing on Thursday evening and then he has a scout activity on Saturday (which I'm okay with as well). I'm not mad I just wish we had more time with him. Hopefully that will change soon enough.

Knives & Spies
Warning: Read at your own RISK!
I wish I could say he was sleep talking, but he wasn't.
My husband is going to be the weirdest funny old grandpa ever. If I die first I'm going to have a blast watching him hide hundreds of knives through out the house and pretend spies are coming to get him. This all came because we were flipping through channels and he stopped on the Knife home shopping channel. They just had a lot of like 336 knives for $280. He went on to discribe where he would hide these knives, for example: velcroed to the inside of the toilet tank, under the kitchen table, in the fireplace, in his computer. A few of Peter's best quotes from the conversation are: "When the zombies come your going to be glad that we have that many knives.", "We could give my dad and brother some of the knives. They did almost give each other Machetes for Christmas" (Actually Eric did give my Father-in-law one for Christmas), "Take that Martha Stewart I'm cutting carrots with a battle axe.", "If I had a Samurai sword I'd use it to cut cheese, just because I can.".
Now he wants a cane that has a sword that comes out of it and also has a taser built in. Awesome. My Grandchildren are doomed. I'm pretty sure I will die at Peter's accidental hand.
A little glimpse into the psyche of the man I married. I most certainly comes from his dad, when we visited him this week, he proudly showed us a book he checked out from the library titled "The Zombie Survival Guide".
I Love My Husband!

Threes
Well if I were really as good as that last post suggested I would have posted something to my beautiful wife on our anniversary. But here it is a day later and I'm finally getting around putting a post up. That in and of itself shows who's the better half of this partnership.
These three years have flown by. We've moved three times, owned three cars, you take care of three kids (two small and one big) and over all that time we've only had three fights. Okay well maybe we've had a few more than three fights but we've always been able to work things out.
So on our third anniversary I wanted to list here three reasons I love you.
1) Your happy smile. Nothing brightens a difficult day more than to come home and see your smile. When I get tired, when life gets rough all I need to see is that smile and those dimples and my cares seem to melt away. Just knowing that you're happy to see me makes everything I do seem worthwhile. Your smile and dimples are so cute and that's why I love you.
2) Your dedication to family. It seems you spend all your time taking care of one of us kids. Either it's feeding time or pooping time or playtime but rarely is it mommy time. Your ties to your siblings are incredibly strong, and I hope that I can stay that close with my brothers and sisters over time. It's easy to see that nothing means more to you in the world than your family and that's why I love you.
3) You are the other half of me. I am no longer just me, you are no longer just you. We are forever Wendi and Peter, Peter Pan and Wendi Darling. Everyday we become more and more inseparable. I don't know what I would do without you. You are a major part of every aspect of my life. Wendi you are everything to me and that is why I love you.

Three Short Years

Who knew that in just three short years we would go from just the two of us to four.
It's amazing how fast time goes by. I love you so much, Peter. I am so glad that I get to spend eternity with you. In the time we've been married we've had two kids, moved four times, once to Alaska, we were sealed in the temple for eternity, and now we're trying to buy a house (that is if it EVER goes through).
Thank you so much for giving me two of the most beautiful kids on the planet. Thank you for loving us even when I make it so difficult. Thank you for providing for us and allowing me and making it possible for me to stay home with the kids. I am so proud of you, for all the things that you have done. You will be graduating soon and we are so excited to be able to spend more time with you, but understand why you can't right now.
Peter, I don't think you could be a better father or husband. We look forward to you coming home everyday. Melynn can hardly bare the anticipation, she talks about daddy for at least an hour before you get home and will not let you out of her sight once you are. Alex will do everything in his power to get to you when he first sees you. He more often than not tries to climb out of my arms and over my shoulder to get to you. It's so cute how you are with them and the way you light up when you arrive home and those two sweet little faces smile up at you with excitement. Nothing else matters when we are around, which can be hard sometimes when you need to do homework.
I love you so much and I thank Heavenly Father every day that I get to be married to the most wonderful man. You make me laugh at the strangest things, my favorite is when you say something bazaar in your sleep. You make everything better when I'm having a hard day with the kids. You comfort me when I'm sad. You listen when I just need to talk. I love you so much. I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you for the last three years and I am excited for 70 more on this earth. And forever after that...As long as you are your same weird self.
Also Thank you David and Julie for raising such an honorable man. Someone so kind and loving. Someone who treats me with respect and as his equal. Who is greatful for me. And shows me everyday how much he loves me. Thanks for raising him in the gospel and teaching him about the importance of the priesthood and temple marriage. David, thank you for making him just as crazy and weird as you are. I think that's what I love most about him. I never know what will happen next. Thank you giving him the gene to find where we are going, when the only clue that we have is to look for the big oddly shaped rock on the side of the road with a stick sitting on top. I've never met a smarter person and it's all because of you. Thank you and I love you for Peter.
Her are a few pictures of our wedding just for good measure.

I had to add this one for good measure, because this is exactly how my family really is. Poor Keith... ha ha yeah right as if he doesn't ask for it.

Some pictures of our Honeymoon.

Melly's Bedtime Shirt
Peter always remembers and loved getting to pick out onE of his dad's t-shirts to wear to bed. He talks about it all the time. He always wants to do it, but never has. So tonight(Sept 25th) he decided he would.
Melly's trying to give daddy a drink of her milk.

Happy Fathers Day
In October 2006 I married the most wonderful man, Peter. I loved him so much. Then we had a baby (Melynn) on August 8, 2007 and I loved him more. Then on October 13, 2007 the three of us went to the temple and were sealed as a family for eternity. And I loved him more.
Peter then drug us off to live in Alaska where we then found out we were pregnant with our second baby (Alex). He was born on February 19, 2009. And again I loved Peter more.
I love Peter more and more everyday I see him as a father. I don't think you could have a better father. We love him so much. Peter would do anything for us. Sacrifice everything to make us happy. I know that he would rather stay home from work and hang out with me and play with the kids. Melynn would want nothing more. I guess what I am trying to say is Thank You for every thing you do for us. We love you so much. Thank you for working all day and still coming home to help me out with the kids. I know I don't say it enough, but I love you Peter and I am so thankful for everything that you do for us. Happy Fathers Day, Daddy. Happy Fathers Day, Honey.
