This morning I got up before Wendi and got the kids ready for the day. I came back in to wake Wendi up before I left for work. The following conversation ensued:
Peter: "I took care of the kids, I'm leaving for work, love you"
Wendi: (not completely awake) "Not anyone famous though"
Peter: "What?"
Wendi: "Not like Phyllis"
Peter: "No I guess not, just the kids not Phyllis or anyone famous"
Wendi: "Oh"
Peter: "Okay, love you"

Audrey Deborah Elizabeth Reese
On December 18th at 10:04 AM we welcomed our baby niece into the world. She weighs 7 lbs 9.6 oz and she is 20.5" long and you can't see from the photo but she's got red hair (just like her Mom and Dad). I was waiting to get a really cute pic from my Sister before posting, but instead of waiting I stole it of her facebook. Take a look at Beautiful Audrey Deborah Elizabeth Reese. Wow, She is Beautiful (how can you argue with a picture like that). But come on really did you expect anything else from my family. Way to go Veronica and Aaron.

The Beautiful Salt Lake Temple
The photographer at my Sister-in-law's wedding took this pictures of the Salt Lake Temple. It's my favorite and it's the temple that we were sealed in. These pictures are absolutely breath-taking.

Video Dump
First off Christmas Post to come. The videos took a long time to upload.
Katie and Matt went to San Diego on their honeymoon. While they were there they went to Sea World. This is Matt showing us how to do the Shamu Slam. He was good enough to tell us that he shakes his hips more when it's just him and Katie.
The other day we heard a loud thump and went to investigate. This is what we found and where. We figure Melynn helped him in.
Alex has an amazing ability to copy anything you do. He started doing this tonight. It was really funny. It's amazing how quickly he picks things up. What a SMART baby.
He saw the camera and started shaking his head.Look at those big beautiful brown eyes.
Just another cute facial expression.
This seasons first snow happened to be on a Sunday. Melly could not wait to go inside and change her clothes before "falling" into the snow.
Here are just some extra snow videos.

Santa's Lap
Don't anyone (Julie, Mom) get copies!!! I MEAN IT!You may notice that Santa is holding Alex's hand. That's because Alex kept trying to pull on his beard.
Melynn was so excited during the entire drive to "Santa's House". She may have had some help from me. I've been talking him up for weeks now to keep her from freaking out the moment she sat down on his lap. When it came down to the time she was to sit on his lap she got a little shy at first, but I again had to hype it up and when I set her on his lap she was amazing. Santa blew her a kiss at the end and she thought that was great. She kept blowing kisses right back at him.
They each got a See's butterscotch sucker for being so good. It was so cute to watch them sitting in their strollers sucking away totally content just kicking their little legs.
Who is this guy?
Many of you know that Wendi isn't a big fan of my graphs but she tolerates me putting them up here. I didn't think this one up I stole it from someone else, but it's still very funny.

Soap Scrapings
I found little teeth marks on the bar of soap. I think the two year old decided soap is gross, because they are light scrapings. AWESOME!!!

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball
I saw a fun recipe on foodgawker.com that I want to try sometime. They have lots of yummy looking recipes that I am excited about trying. I think I might make it for one of our family Christmas parties.
Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball
1 pkg. 8oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup butter not margarine
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbs. brown sugar
3/4 cup confectioners sugar
3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans (optional)
graham crackers, chocolate graham crackers, vanilla wafers or animal crackers.
Beat softened cream cheese, butter, & vanilla until creamy. Slowly add sugars until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Place mixture in a Tupperware of plastic container. Refrigerate for 1 -2 hours form into a ball and roll ball in pecans (optional) you can also roll the cheese ball into graham cracker crumbs or more mini chocolate chips. My kiddos do not like nuts so those are the optional choices. Serve with graham crackers, vanilla wafers or animal crackers.

The Real Katy Perry/Zooey Deschanel
Here are a couple of pictures of Zooey and Katy not taken in a professional setting. Can you tell me who's who and if they look alike?

With whom will you side?
Wendi and I are having an debate and as we often do we turn to the internet for an answer. I say that Zooey Deschenel and Katy Perry look very much alike. So much so that I boldly stated that they are the same person trying to pull something. Wendi doesn't think they look alike at all. What do you all think?
Wendi's Opinion: I think that Peter only picked pictures that work for his point of view. Yes they look alike to an extent. What you need to do is do a google image search of both Zooey Deschanel and Katy Perry. Zooey is the one that has the unique look all the time. Katy is only that way when she is dressed like a pin up doll. Suck it, Peter. I'm right and you know it.

While we're at it here are some more celebrity look-a-likes that I stole from some other blog that they stole from someone else:

I'm not the only one who talks in their sleep
I know that title is not correct grammar but it's been a long week and I just don't care.
This morning I got up before Wendi to get ready for work, as I was getting dressed she said,
Wendi: "Tread on me"
Peter: "What babe?"
Wendi: "Tread on me"
Peter: "Okay... Well I'm leaving for work"
Wendi: "Okay, sweet dreams"
Peter: (laughing)"Love ya, bye"
The night before I was watching TV in bed and Wendi was sleeping. Something on the TV woke her up and she rolled over and said,
Wendi: "Is this my channel?"
Peter: "No, this is cartoon network"
Wendi: "Yeah, but is this my channel?"
Peter: "I don't think you have a channel, what is your channel?"
Wendi: "I'm just asking if this is my channel, that's all"
Peter: "Okay, this is your channel then."
Wendi: "Okay"
I'm just glad I'm not the only one in the family with a sleep disorder. Strike that, Melly already walks and talks in her sleep so I guess we've successfully passed our defects on to another generation.

Redbox Scammers
I am a frequent customer of Redbox (rent a movie for a dollar a day from a vending machine) since the first one popped up in Utah county some 4 or 5 years ago.
The last two or three months I've been getting emails from "Redbox" asking me to confirm my subscription. I keep deleting these messages, because there are too many people out there trying to scam people out of their personal information. Tonight I got yet another email from them and it was the last straw. So I clicked on the Unsubscribe button. The address on my browser said this: surv.cheetahmail.com, which isn't www.redbox.com...suspicious, right?
They didn't ask for my email address, just my reason for leaving. I read through a bunch of options, but none of them applied, until I got to the last one...OTHER. There was a space to leave my reason for unsubscribing. This was my reason: "Because this is NOT the real Redbox. You just hacked into Redbox and stole my email address for I don't know what reason. Leave me alone or I'll turn you into the Police."
Maybe that will get them to leave me alone.

The First Snow
On Sunday when we pulled up to our house. I pulled Melynn out of the car and she was begging us to play in the snow. She just couldn't wait to change her clothes first. These are some pics of her. At one point she even knelt down. In the last photo she looks like a little ICE CUBE and I don't know how she got snow on the forehead of her hat. You'd have to ask Peter that.
She did not want to come inside. She cried...of course. She loved the snow so much we went and bought her some snow clothes (pants, boots, and gloves). It's going to be a fun winter even though I hate the cold and driving in the snow. Anyway enjoy the pics.

Funny Faces
Alex started making this really funny face the other day while Peter was feeding him. He looks kind of terrified. It just makes me laugh every time I see it. I have a picture of it and a video, but the video is too long to upload so Peter needs to chop it down in order for all of you to see it. It shouldn't be too long, but until then take a look and this cutie. The other picture I added just because I think it's cute.

Playing Together
One of the few moments that Melynn will allow Alex close enough to play together. She's quite bossy the last few weeks. Anyway we caught them both eating cheerios under Alex's saucer toy.

Christmas Decorations
I have been so bugged lately that we still don't have a house to put Chistmas lights on. So I decided to do some decorating in my window. And I added a bow to my door. Here are some pics. I think they look GREAT!

Dear...
Dear Everyone,
I know that I've been slacking on the blogging front and I'm sorry. I have lots of pictures on my camera and funny stories to go along with them, but...well...you know. I'm lazy. I will try and do a little better about it.
Blogging Slacker
Dear Snow,
I don't mind that you are here, but I would really appreciate it if you could keep from landing on the the roads, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks and my cars. You can fall on everyone elses cars just not the two that belong to my family. I don't think that is too much to ask.
Frustrated with Snow Lady
Dear Santaquin,
I got stuck about six times while driving on your city streets. It took me 20 minutes to get from my Mom's house to the freeway. That's normally a 1 1/2 minute drive. It took me 40 minutes to pick up my grandma from her house. I understand that it's sometimes hard to keep up with the snow fall, but at least you could try.
Frustrated Driver
Dear Mr. Plow,
Thank you for doing such a great job at plowing the streets of Spanish Fork and the freeway. Will you occasionally (everytime it snows) plow my parking lot.
Greatful Plow Friend
Dear Melly,
I love you so much. I am so thankful that you are in our lives. Sometime you really try my patience. You are so independently minded and stubborn to a T. You get that from me and a little from Daddy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Those qualities make you the sweet little girl that I love so much. I love that you are so protective of Ax. No one can torment him but you. You have to kiss him goodnight every night. You are so into princesses and all things related lately. It's kind of a refreshing change. You amaze me everyday at the way you communicate your desires and that you are so concerned if I'm okay every time I sneeze. I love that you love the snow. I enjoy watching you dig and "bouncin'" in the snow. I think if I let you then you'd probably never come in. I love you, baby girl!
Your "Princess Mommy"
Dear Grubbies,
You are so curious about everything. It kind of makes me a little scared to put up the Christmas tree. You always have to be moving. You love animals, but you get very concerned when you think they might be getting to rough with each other. I am so glad that you finally got your first tooth. I love your new facial expression. Makes me laugh every time (pictures to come). I love you, Grubby! And no, I don't know why I call you Grubby/ies.
Your Ever Improving Mommy
Dear Peter,
I am so glad that I only have to deal with your crappy schedule for only 1 more week. YEA! You are such a good Dad. The kids absolutely love you. You always help out with the kids. You always keep me laughing. After a emotionally exhausting day just the sight of you makes it all wash away. I love you for that. I love that you talk in your sleep. I laugh every time. I love you, Peter!
Your Completely Devoted Wife.

I love you!
Peter was putting Melynn to bed tonight and after giving me a kiss, as she walked to her room I told her "I love you, Melly. Good night". Her response was "I love you". That is the first time she has ever said that all on her own. It wasn't forced or anything. It made my heart just melt. Cute kid. I just love her so much.
