My sister-in-law took our family pictures yesterday and also a variety of others.
We have no idea who this little boy is. Melynn just randomly does this sometimes. She will pick some poor kid grab on to their shirt and follow them around. Whether they like it or not.

Yumm...Grandpas Favorite
Tonight Melynn refused spaghettios for dinner. So as a joke Peter offered her a ring of raw red onion. She spit out the first bite so he took it away from her. About a minute later she came back to try the onion on her own. Watch the video to see what happens next.

Toes
Alex has discovered his toes either today or yesterday. He will grab them and try to bring them to his mouth but he gets mad because they won't reach. It's really funny.

Sleep Walker
Well I hate to say it but I think our little Melynn sleep walks. I was really hoping that this didn't happen, but with all the weird sleep disorders spread through out Peter's and my family one of our kids was bound to have one of them. Here's what happened.
I'm sitting in bed when Melynn walks in and hands me her pillow and walks back to her room. She made some noises but nothing really that you could understand. I sit there waiting to see if she came back with like her blanket, but she didn't come back. So I get up to bring her pillow back to her and she is kneeling next to her bed with her blankie in her little hands mostly asleep. She looks up at me and says "sippy". I told her to lay down in bed and got her sippy for her. By the time I got back with it she was pretty much asleep. I gave her the cup and it took her a minute to realize what I handed her before she figured out she wanted it. I came back five minutes later and she was asleep having drank half of it.
I knew that she was sleep walking because first off it was really odd behavior for Melynn and second my sister used to sleep walk and all she used to need is to go to the bathroom. I think all Melynn needed was a drink and she was fine. It was so funny.

Contagious Laugh
We were on our way home from Peter's parent's house we were mad about something and I realize that my show is coming on soon and I call out "My shows on" in a funny loud voice. Melly started laughing hysterically and telling me "again mommy again" so I continued to do it. It was so cute. We were laughing so hard. I turned to Peter and said "It's amazing how a child's laugh can completely turn your mood around." I love that little laugh so much. There is always a sun in the sky even when all you see are clouds.

Happy Fathers Day
In October 2006 I married the most wonderful man, Peter. I loved him so much. Then we had a baby (Melynn) on August 8, 2007 and I loved him more. Then on October 13, 2007 the three of us went to the temple and were sealed as a family for eternity. And I loved him more.
Peter then drug us off to live in Alaska where we then found out we were pregnant with our second baby (Alex). He was born on February 19, 2009. And again I loved Peter more.
I love Peter more and more everyday I see him as a father. I don't think you could have a better father. We love him so much. Peter would do anything for us. Sacrifice everything to make us happy. I know that he would rather stay home from work and hang out with me and play with the kids. Melynn would want nothing more. I guess what I am trying to say is Thank You for every thing you do for us. We love you so much. Thank you for working all day and still coming home to help me out with the kids. I know I don't say it enough, but I love you Peter and I am so thankful for everything that you do for us. Happy Fathers Day, Daddy. Happy Fathers Day, Honey.

Random Videos
We took these videos a while ago but are just getting around to posting them. Enjoy.
Melynn loves glasses. She loves Peters glasses though I don't know why. She can't possibly be able to see anything. Peter has horrible eye sight.
I don't know what possessed Melynn to put her foot into a pitcher.
Melynn loves her Grandma J's makeup mirror.
For some reason Alex loved this.

Alex Rolls Over
Alex rolled over for the first time yesterday. He's done it 3 or 4 times today. It's so cute. I wasn't sure he would ever roll over because he hates to be anything but standing. Straight as a board. So needless to say I was just a little excited to see that he was rolling over.

Family Update
Alex rolled over on the floor for the first time today. And he is scooting a little bit but I'm not sure if that is just because he is mad. The other day Melynn left bbq sauce on Alex's toy and he grabbed it and was eating it. He loved it. He was sucking it off his hands. He is such a smiley happy baby. We enjoy him everyday. He is very ticklish and is always laughing.
Melynn has hit the terrible 2 stage. It's a nightmare. The other night she took off her diaper and peed on the floor. Drew on the walls sheets pillow, bed and herself with a pen. And spread lotion over a good portion of our bed. I have tried to do everything with the diaper thing including potty training her and nothing has worked including spanking her for doing it. But she still does really cute things as well of course. She has been using sentences for the last couple months now and it is so cute to hear her express herself. Last Sunday she came running in with her church activities back pack and says "pack pack got cay-ers (colors)". Last night my mom watched the kids while we went to the temple. When we picked them up I got into the car she said "Mommies home". We think she meant "Mommy has arrived" since that's what daddy always says when Mommy gets home from the store or wherever. She loves Alex and Mommies(and I didn't accidently add an "s" she really calls me mommies) and dad. She loves giving us and anyone kisses. and She always runs up to me saying "Mommies" and hugs my legs. It makes me feel pretty great.
I love them so much. It's hard to remember what life was like with out my kids. My life is so much more gratifying with them...and Peter of course.
There are pictures to come.

Misinterpretation
I think that tonight we have the stereotypical hard of hearing old person problem. You know where you completely misinterpret everything anyone says. Here are a couple of stories to prove my point.
We have a shopping list in our kitchen and I asked Peter "Did you put dish soap on the list?" And he came into the bathroom and asked very seriously "Did I put dish soap on Melynn?". I laughed and "no, did you put dish soap on the list" and he started laughing.
About 20 minutes later we were watching an episode of Friends and I laughed at a part and didn't hear Peter laugh and I said "didn't you think that was funny?" And he responded "my mouth is full of cookie" to which I heard "I'm getting mauled by a cookie".
See what I mean. So weird.
