Melynn and Alex finally took there first bath together. Melynn was so careful not to upset/scare Alex. 
Melynn has recently found a new favorite book. Unfortunately Alex got to this one. Melly was quite upset to say the least and worried about her favorite new book.
There was a quick and easy repair...packing tape and it was good as new or like new with flaws. I just hope Melly doesn't try to continue the tear.
Last Saturday we decided to take the kids to the state fair, when we found out that they would have a bear and alligator there. It actually didn't turn out to be as cool as we thought it would be. There were people everywhere. There were so many people crowded around the bear show that Melly barely got to see the bears do any tricks. Which is really sad because she was so excited to see them. She talked about them all the way there. We also missed the alligator show, and no we didn't even get to try the alligator on a stick that was offered.
Melynn did enjoy seeing the pigs, cows, and goats.
Daddy had to take her to see the pigs, because they smelled so bad I about threw up. So we don't have any pictures of them.
We saw one bull called Big Red.
He was taller than I am and I'm 5'6” (average). Melynn didn't like him very much. I think she was scared of how big he was. I can't say I blame her, I was too. She did get to see a baby cow that was not so intimidating. She just walked right up to pet it all by her self.
And just for good measure here is a picture of Alex and me. I don't think he cared about touching the baby cow, so I just got a picture of the two of us.
All in all I don't think we'll be back to visit anytime soon.
Melynn has seen us use the fly swatter quite a bit through out the summer and she just had to try it out. The only problem is she couldn't reach, so daddy helped her a little.
What is going on? About a week a go someone broke in to Peter's car and stole nothing (because there's nothing to steal when it's the crappiest car in the lot), my downstairs neighbor got her brand new bike stolen, she left for work two days ago (Sept. 22nd) and it was there and when she got home it was gone. She thought that the landlord moved it while they were mowing the lawn but nope someone stole it. We suspect a worthless high school kid of the crime.
I figure they didn't want to walk home and saw the bike sitting there and just took it then ditched it. A nurse at the clinic next door got her car broken into yesterday (Sept 23rd), her passenger side window was smashed in and money was taken, but the thief didn't take her digital camera that was sitting there. She is pretty sure she knows who did it so that's good at least.
People are pretty gutsy to do something like that with lots of people or other cars around. So right now I'm very paranoid about my own car and for our safety. I cannot wait to move. So if any of you are looking at breaking into my car or home I will hunt you down and beat you to death with one of these. 
I've been thinking about seeing if I can find some of the classic 1980's and early 1990's movies on like ksl or craigslist for really cheap. Also on DVD, because we don't own a VHS player. I'm looking to all you you for help I'm having a hard time remembering a lot of them. If you can think of any please leave a comment. Thank you so much. Also here are a few that I have and some that I have thought of. Also I am okay with classics from before the 80's as well.

Another Melly and Alex story here. Alex loves his new mobility and if he can't crawl around he gets mad. So Saturday morning I let him free range in the living room. He crawled over by the couch and found a half empty bag of Fritos. He hadn't figured out what to do with it yet and I was watching him to make sure he didn't get it tipped over. Melly also noticed what he was doing and decided to give him a hand. Before I realized what was happening she had grabbed the bag and dumped the whole thing right in his arms. Being a smart boy he began to cram as many as he could in his mouth before they got taken away. Melly got a few minutes timeout in her room and I let Alex keep the ones I scooped out of his mouth. And everyone got a funny story to read.
Saturday night Wendi and I decided to take a break from the kids. A big thank you goes out to Grandma and Grandpa who watched them at a moments notice. We enjoyed our evening and when we returned to pick up the kids they had a funny story for us. Melly has a little plastic wagon that she puts her toys in and hauls them around the house. She is still a little jealous of Alex touching her toys, so when she saw him playing with her wagon she got upset. She grabbed the handle and took off across the room. Well Alex had a death grip on the back of the wagon and he wasn't giving up for anything. So off they went, Melly dragging the wagon with Alex hanging on the back bouncing along. Grandma and Grandpa were laughing too hard to do anything to stop it.
Melly has always been a tough kid but now it looks like Alex will be able to hold his own. Good job Ax.

I took this picture a few weeks ago. I think he's starting to get tired.
Yesterday I was smiling and squinting my eyes at Alex and he was responding by doing the same thing. I tried to get him to do it on camera but he wouldn't do it, but I did manage to get a picture of it. Every time we look at it, it make us laugh hysterically.
A few weeks ago my Sister-in-law and I took the kids to The Petting Zoo at Thanksgiving Point here are some of the things that we saw.
On the big version of the photo you can see that Melly weighs somewhere between 5 baby lambs and a goat. If you squint you can see that she weighs about 100 units. I know those can't be pounds, maybe grams, no wait that's what my lunch weighed. I guess she just weighs 106. On a side note how crappy would your day be if you got on that scale and it pointed to a sow and her litter of piglets. Way to boost someone's self esteem Thanksgiving Point!
We haul Alex along on all these adventures and he is such a trooper. He looks so tired and I'm sure he is so bored.
One of the workers was nice enough to get out one of the bunnies so that Melly could see it up close and pet it. Melly had a different idea, as soon as the bunny was within range she started to reach for it and asked, "Take it?" We had to jump in and intervene.
I love the goats, they're so cute. Melly wasn't so sure about this one. I think she thought it was going to eat her dress. Earlier a cow licked her face and it wierded her out and I think that's why she was freaked out.
This baby goat was so small it could fit through the fences between the stalls. It followed us all the way down the line as we walked. It was so cute.
If I was so miserable with just one baby in my belly I can't imagine what this poor goat is feeling. There's gotta be like 6 babies in there, she's so big. Goats don't give birth to 6 really only 1 or 2, but she is huge.
This plastic sheep had it's eyes painted black. When Melly saw it she looked at me and said, "aseep(asleep)mommy"
Ya know those pictures where some weird guy is making a face in the background? Well apparently Alex decided to be that guy and reveal to the world that he is bat boy.
We went to the children's fair at onion days. Melly got a butterfly painted on her face and her hair colored pink. She completely loved it. She looks like a little rocker.
Alex also got his face painted. I requested an axe, (because his nick name is Ax) but apparently the girl had no experience drawing axes and she couldn't figure out how to draw it so Alex had to settle for a snake.
The other day she got up in the morning and decided to get herself dressed before coming in to wake us up. This is what we saw.
Last night at 2:00 am Melly decided it was time to get up for the day. Look at those two bright eyed girls. She was awake for 2 hours and it still didn't stop her from waking up at her normal time. I was not happy.
I've heard this song before, but it never really meant much to me until I had kids of my own. I don't know if it's because it's late or because I'm not ready for the inevitable, probably some of both, but this song made me cry. I love my kids more than words can describe. Like you used to say Mom "more than the whole world". I wish they could be little longer. Melynn is growing up too fast. Peter about got knocked over by the shock that she isn't his baby anymore, but rather his little girl. I have felt that for a while in fact I had a hard time with her turning two because of it. She is exploding verbally, she speaks in full sentences and you can understand them. Alex is the one I'm having a hard time with, he is crawling all over and it is increasingly becoming more difficult to put a diaper on the boy, he constantly has to be moving and he HATES laying on his back. I think that if we let him he would go until he fell asleep laying on his tummy with something in his hands and mouth on the living room floor. I just wish I could freeze time to keep them from growing up so fast. Anyway here are the lyrics to the song. It's called "Let Them be Little" by Billy Dean.
