Melly's Butterflies

Our little girl sure loves butterflies. I don't know why she picked butterflies and owls as her favorite animals, but she completely adores them. Yesterday we were looking at houses and one house had a few decorative butterflies on the garage. She spotted them almost as soon as she stepped out of the car. She made sure to tell each one of us about the butterflies. The whole time as we walked through the house she talked about butterflies. She became very distraught when she realized we were leaving the butterflies and I imagine she was asking the butterflies to save her from her mean parents who were making her get in the car. In the car she calmed down, but she did not forget the butterflies. All the way home she jabbered on in her own language with the word butterfly mixed in every few seconds. She kept that up for close to thirty minutes before a doggie at another house distracted her attention and she had to go over to meet it.

Someday we'll have to take her down to California see the monarch migration, she'll lose her mind.

That is really funny. It never stops amazing me how unique each child is.
