We were sitting out in the back yard yesterday enjoying our freshly mowed grass when the following conversation ensued.

Melly: Birdie's got the pink eye! (pointing at a starling on the telephone line)
Wendi and I: What?
Melly: Kill it?
Us: No, lets not kill it.
Melly: Scream it?
Us: No, that's not nice.
(Melly proceeds to open her mouth wider than I thought possible and screams in her high pitched little voice at the bird)

What a strange little creature we're raising.
