Let me let you in on the truth about these.

Like Peter and me you probably thought this everyday item was a pair of tongs used for cooking, but to my kids this is no ordinary pair of tongs. These are what my kids would call..........BEE SNIPPERS. Yes, you read that right...BEE SNIPPERS. Shall I elaborate! Yesterday after lunch Melly came up to Daddy and told him she was scared to go down to the family room with out him. On the way Dad asked why she was scared and she responded matter of factly, "Because of the bees." About half way down she cried out, "Daddy, hold on!" and rushed back up the stairs. She returned with, you guessed it, the bee snippers. With weapon in hand she was no longer scared of the bees (which didn't materialize during the course of Dad's search). All day today Mellly and Alex fought over control of the bee snippers.
