Melynn and Alex had their check-ups yesterday. At two years old Melynn is 35 inches tall and weighs 31lbs 2 oz. She is between 85-95% on everything. Both of my kids have big heads...That's Peter's fault.
Alex is now six months old. I can't believe how fast time flies. Alex is 25.5 inches long and weighs 17 lbs 14 oz. The doctor said that he looks great, but he is still on the light side. He is in the 10th percentile in weight and 25th percentile height and his head is a little bigger than average.
Alex doesn't roll across the room, he pivots around in a circle to get to things he wants. He loves and prefers being on his tummy and hates laying on his back. He is starting to get the idea of army crawling a little bit. I can't believe how big he has gotten and how much he has changed. He is such a smiley happy baby and such a joy to have in our family. He loves Melynn, especially her hair (Melly doesn't like that so much) and he giggles at just about everything. Anything that Peter or I are holding must be in his hands and/or mouth, especially our phones. He recently started eating solid foods and he goes crazy anytime he sees anyone eating and he isn't. His favorite food right now are peas. He loves them so much he can polish off an entire jar in one sitting. We love him so much. It will be fun to see him go through the next milestones.

I don't think 17 lbs is that small for six months. That is how much my kids weighed at like 11 months. They both didn't hit 20 lbs until after they turned one.
You have really cute kids and it is crazy to see how fast they grow up.
I wouldn't all the way blame the big head thing on Peter, there are too many big head in this family for it to be all the in-laws faults. We must have some big Heads(brains, smarts) too, I know I do. :) 17 pounds is not that small, I don't think Dylan had quite even achieved 20 by a year. But my nephew Jaxon is 8 months and he is 26 lbs. Quite the chunky monkey. Just be glad he is lighter, I would not want to have to lug around a 26 lb baby all the time, although you would have some serious guns if you did.
