So on Sunday our car stopped working, it was in need of a new battery. We still went out to work Monday and I ended up driving one of the other guys car. I was almost to my area when I saw red and blue lights in my rear view. I pulled over and the officer informed me that she stopped me for not having plates. The cars were purchased about a month ago and still had their temp papers in the window. Apparently the paper had fallen down. I explain what's going on and by her attitude I can tell she thinks that the car must be stolen or something.
We find the paper fallen down in the back window, find the registration, find the insurance info, everything for her. She takes it all and still has a guilty until proven innocent attitude. A few minutes later she comes back with a ticket for $100. I ask her if she's serious, she goes on about how I broke the law and how since I'm the driver it's my responsibility. I just look at her and try to keep from informing her what an idiot she is.
I won't make any comments about how it must have been her time of the month, or how she must have sat on her baton the wrong way, or anything. But just know if I knock her door I sure hope I interrupt her dinner, get her all excited about a free alarm system and then have the guts to say "I'm sorry, we don't accept jerks as customers."
