Apparently there was something she wanted to fix, so she got out her tools.

Two Weeks...And Counting
Well I had another doctors appointment today the baby is lower but no other progress. When the doctor felt how low he was he said he was surprised women can even walk when they're this far along. But apparently the baby is low enough because I'm not any more dilated than last week.
Since last week I've been having contractions but they haven't been painful at all. So I thought I'd made progress, but I guess they just moved the baby down a little. I'm also starting to think this baby never wants to come out. He just my happy little wiggler. Here's hoping for next week, but most likely he'll come the week after.

Pregnancy Thoughts
I don't think I love being pregnant quite as much as some, especially near the end now that all I can think about is how much I hurt everywhere. It definitely has it's good parts ... and bad. One con is that I have to wait for most of a year for him to arrive. Why can't we be more like dogs? (When was the last time you heard a woman say that?) I think I'd be more willing to be pregnant if it didn't take so long, just not as many (peter says I don't think you'd be okay with six babies at once). I guess with something so small and precious to the Lord and ourselves we need that much time for the parents and the baby to both mentally and physically prepare for this long journey on earth. I guess I think even though both of my pregnancy's have been on completely different ends of the spectrum, it is such a small sacrifice for such a big blessing from the Lord. Seeing Melynn and knowing how much I love her it absolutely makes it worth it.

Body Parts
For a while now we've been practicing body parts with Melynn. Recently she has been showing me the parts on her little baby doll. She only does a couple but she knows eyes, ears, mouth, nose, fingers, toes, hands, feet, and belly button/baby. She calls my belly button a baby because we've been telling her there is a baby in my tummy and she thought I was telling her that only my belly button is a baby. Also she signs candy at the beginning.

New Microwave
We finally found a microwave that we like and at what we thought was a reasonable price for us to pay. Our old microwave was making some scary sounds and not cooking evenly. This new one works great, but mostly we are just happy to have one that works.

Pregnancy Update
Thursday we went to the doctor for just a routine appointment. Well it's the first appointment where they check to see if I've dilated. I am between 1 and 2. So at least there is some kind of progress. I knew that I had progressed some because of how my pelvic bone hurt to the point that I thought it was going to snap in half, but the doctor said that the baby wasn't very low and the reason for the pain is that I have a slight bladder infection. The doctor gave me a prescription and told me he wants to see me again next week. Yea! I'm on weekly appointments now. YEA! Less than three weeks until my due date. I'm not really that miserable. I want this baby to come when he is ready. I don't want to be induced unless it's necessary. Well for now that's all the information that I have.

No Duck
My mom has a table in the living room that has a little shelf close to the floor and around Christmas time she puts little nativities there that the kids can play with. She noticed how much Melynn liked plying there so she got some toys to keep there year round. The other night while we were there Melly was down there playing as usual. There were two toys: a rubber duck and a small rubber sheep. She was only playing with the sheep when suddenly she looked over a the duck, pulled the sheep close to her and quite firmly told the duck, "No!"
She acted just like she does in nursery when another kid comes up to take her toy. We figure she imagined that the duck was going to take her sheep or something. It was the cutest thing we had seen in a while. We all got a good laugh out of it.

Makabe's New Glasses
My nephew who is six weeks older than Melynn had to get glasses. Cutest thing I've seen. I love little kids with glasses.

Congratulations!
I know this post is late coming, but we wanted to say congratulations to Becab and Jeffcab on their wedding. It is so neat to share in someones happiness. We are so happy for you. Married life although hard at times so much better than single life. Enjoy. The whole day all Melynn wanted was Aunt Becca. It was pretty cute.
